sorry, i have been using it in my larger fermenter but you are right, i went back and listened, it was exactly 1 floz of bleach, and 1 floz of white vinegar to 5 gallons.
therefore 28-30ml each of bleach and vinegar to 18.9 litres of water..

i will correct my orig post!!


But also they went onto to say that gives you 80ppm and depending on the PH you could run in alot lower.
 
Wouldn't you want to use distilled vinegar for that? I'd be worried about Acetobacter. :eek:

I have also been using glad wrap to seal my fermenter for about 6 years now and never had a problem. I do put a small hole in it though to allow the CO2 to escape. I like to be able to look through the lid to check how the fermentation is going and you can see easily when the beer is starting to clear.

Just wondering if the glad wrap is sealed with the rubber ring, how does the co2 escape?
