Can anyone idea me with the above seal.

I'm playing with an electric mash stirrer and I need a way to seal the lid of my MT

I'm using a vessel that may resemble a standard issue 50L beer keg as a MT.

I have a seal shop near me, they sell lots of different foamed rubber seal materials, from shoe lace to over 20mm, (same type of material fermenter O-Rings are made from, just cut to length and glue the ends together with super glue.
Some places stock the same type of thing in O-Ring material, I think they use a different glue but another local place will make up 1 off O-Rings.

Do a bit of ringing around once you have worked out what type of material you need, try seal and bearing suppliers in your local.

May I ask why? My mash tun has an electric stirrer, I don't see any need to seal it. No brewery in which I've worked had a sealed mash tun either.
