I was thinking of putting this down but am really unsure of how much rye I should put in, in case it overtakes the saison yest.

1.7 Lager Kit
0.5 Dextrose
1 Rye
0.25 Oats

Made to 20L

Wyeast Belgian Saison\Farmhouse yeast

You're probably gonna need to mash it with some base malt to begin.
Rye would very nice in a Saison, you could go 50% of your grain bill with it to give your beer that 'spicy' edge without the use of additional spices that they often use in Saisons. But i've never brewed a Saison, you may wanna check out some recipes off this site.

Edit: Oh yeah, high proportions of rye make for a very sticky mash! Be mindful of that, and you may wanna mash at lower temps for the style for that nice delicate body that is common with the style.

Will do. I've mashed with rye before and it should have enough diastic power to convert the oats.
