Brewer's Notes

1.7kg Coopers Amber LME is Thomas Coopers India Pale Ale 1.7kg
Results in IBU 37.0, EBC 20.3, OG 1.048, FG 1.010, Keg 5%, Bottle 5.4%

Steep 100g Caramalt at 65-70 for 30 minutes.
Transfer liquid to new pot.
Add water to 3 litres and bring to boil.
Add 25g Amarillo, boil for 10 minutes.
Cool pot in cold water.
Add to fermenter with Dextrose, IPA Kit and LME.
Ferment at 18 for 7 days.
Rack to secondary, dry hop 10g Amarillo.
Keg after another 7 days.
I chilled to 1 or 2 degrees for a few days, waited a week and then enjoyed.

Pleased with the result. Previous efforts were a bit 'thick' as I used more Caramalt, but cutting that back and using Dextrose instead has made it more drinkable/quaffable.

Also, since learnt should boil hops in minimum 6 litres.
