It would be an interesting experiment for sure but I wouldn't recommend you doing it.

I'd lean towards Manticle's suggestion for an American Brown. Some of the Willamette would go pretty nice in it as a big bittering addition IMO.

+1, you almost can't overbitter with Willamette, it is just so soft.

I've used it in ESB, IRA, EPA, BB (.5kg from the US takes a while to get through) - excellent all purpose bittering hop.

Goomba

hmm, I obviously didn't read the hops weights properly. 2kgs of hops would waste a lot of hops if the recipe wasn't designed properly.

I retract my suggestion and hop back in my box!!! :p

And BBTBIAB = bye bye to BIAB. Bit obscure, I guess...

Even the the 2.3kg of crystal?

Never used much more the 300g a batch, and I like my crystal. Anyone ever used 25% in a batch? Does it just turn out really malty and almost like caramel syrup. I have the hops there to try and balance it out but I am not so sure about it.

Bbtbiab?
Don't do it.

I always thought the higher the FG, the better a beer was...?

I've been stopping fermentation after no more than 10 points have dropped.

Well then, back to my box also.
