Hey!

Cleaning the brew cabinet and found some random yeast.

2 of them are just standard coopers yeast, but I have a some plain silver packets with nothing on it.

Before I throw it out, I thought I'd ask if there was any ideas to do with it?

Yeast starter (still wont know what it is)?

Buy some ducks and make bread for them?

Perhaps?

Yeast nutrient? Add it to your boil with about 10 minutes to go. Will kill the yeast, but you'll pitch new (identifiable) yeast who will grow fat on the corpses of the unidentifiable yeast.

Seems a pity to throw out potentially viable yeast. You could either use for nutrient or use in an experimental brew?
