Heya,

I bought a few Quickconnect female. 1/2" MPT about 2 years ago and they've worked well. However, I left them in sanitiser for a while and now they are almost impossible to get on and off. I guess they need lubing? How do I go about doing that?

After way too much googling I found a video on how to dissamble but there wasn't any info about which parts to lube and which not too (which is usually straight forward ;).

Thanks!

Sounds like the balks have seized up and won’t push in. Maybe a cotton bud with a few drops of oil on them to get them moving again? I use food grade lube on my kegs, try that also.

Thanks, so there's no drama with wort contact as it's food grade and because of the ball locations?

The balls are behind the o-ring seal so don't come in to direct wort contact. You could try some olive oil.
