Quick Question - Coopers Pale Ale Yeast

Hi,
I have a quick question. I would like to propagate Coopers Pale Ale Yeast. I have read a few posts on this and am wondering if anyone knows whether I can use Liquid Malt to make a wort for it. Also, do I need to add any sort of sugar?

I use liquid malt extract for all my yeast starters, no sugar needed.
