I built up my yeast for this beer on a starter plate. Crash chilled it and poured of the starter, then let it come to room temp and pitched. And bugger me it went from 1056-1013 in 4 days!! Never had one that quick before. Ill be checking the gravity today and if its stable its getting racked on to some gelatin for a couple of days and into a keg.

Wow that will be a first for me.

How many off you have had this before?

Cheers KHB

What was your wort temp upon pitching?

Ive had some finish quickly in the early days of my brewing in warmer weather.

Yep, Nottingham yeast in special best bitters. Done and dusted in four days at 18 degrees C, cleared by day seven.

Cheers
Gavo
