I have found that I am happy with Toohey Lager and Brigalow New cans of goop. With 8 fermenters I am sticking to cans. My question is how do I up the bitterness just abit. I am happy with my brew but they lack the bitter taste that could make them even better. Will the Brigalow hops tablets help?

Just putting extra hops won't get you bitterness (however you would get some added aroma and flavour). You have to boil hops to extract bitterness. With cans of goop you would have to find a can that contains a higher bitterness, but that may change the style of beer you need to brew. Or you could try brewing 20L of beer per set of cans, makes it a bit stronger.

I like Tooheys New. Can you suggest any cans of goo that will give that taste and bitterness?

You want pride of ringwood hops. Go back to the first thread you ever posted here. In that I directed you to a very simple recipe for kit based toohey's new style. Do a small boil with the recommended recipe (eg boil the tin, some water and hops for maybe 10-15 minutes and see how you go)

OK, I boil my brew sugar to dissolve it, so should I just chuck the pride of ringwood in with that?

You could. Start small and see how you go.

Generally speaking - long boil = bitterness. Mid boil = flavour. Short boil = aroma.

There will be crossover.

Happy to help you through but read up a bit elswehere too. Have yoou started reading how to brew yet?

I have started reading some books but not any that are very specific. Will try to get some pride of ringwood on the weekend and talk to the guys at my LHBS. Thanks manticle.

You could also try a toucan - two cans of goop, no extra sugar needed = twice the bitterness. It will taste more bitter but not twice as much as you will have more malt to balance the bitterness.

I am about to try my first addition of Pride of Ringwood. Wish me luck!!

Cheers mate and thanks to manticle for suggesting it to me.
