Hi

I recently changed my BIAB setup so that it included a plate chiller. The problem I am having is that when I open the kettle valve nothing flows out of the plate chiller even though it is below the kettle (gravity fed). If I then turn it on its side it begins to flow but slows down to a trickle when I stand it upright again. Anyone got any thoughts?

Cheers

Strange, I BIAB and I have my kettle about 1.2 meters off the ground, my chiller flat (not on itls side) about 30 cm below the tap and my wort gushes through!

No idea sorry

Just had a brain spasm. Went out and tried it and it worked. The pickup tube, which is curved, was causing an air bubble to be trapped in it so that any minor resistance would slow down the flow rate. Rotate the tube so it clears the air out and voila, its away.
