Found a possible alterantive to the March 809 pump, UNO HCM-75LX. It's magnetically coupled and the pump head is made from polypropylene, which has a melting point of 173C and is commonly used for things that need to be autoclaved. The motor is totally enclosed unlike the March, and it comes standard with mounting plate.

Priced at $168 as opposed to $240 for the March (this is the price for the pump + plug + mounting plate).

I have no affiliation with the retailer and haven't used one of these pumps. Just putting the information out there for anyone interested in doing some more investigateing.

The pumps are being sold on EvilBay

Nice find MAH
I have a March pump but if I was in the market for one now I'll look at one of these.

Nice one mate.

3720L/Hour is pretty fast, i dont know how that compares to the march but mine doesnt pump any where near than much through my heat exchanger.

The march is rated at about 28L per minute max flow rate. So it looks like this one is about twice as fast (at 68L/min), but of course you rarely run the flat out and you can restrict the flow to what you want anyway.

Should be a good one MAH.

And for a few bucks more than a March ($260) they've got a monster version that pumps 5100 LPH with a handy 6.1m head.

Linky

Nice find MAH. :beerbang:
