I kegged a batch of beer this afternoon and cooled it in my kegerator for 3-4 hours and stirred up some Polyclar for an hour while watching TV. I then went to put it in the keg and didn't think the keg was cold enough so I left the Polyclar on the bench covered for a few hours. I then later warmed it in the microwave (as it should disperse better through the beer if it is a bit warm) and gave it a quick stir and mixed it with the keg.

Would leaving the Polyclar on the bench to rest be a problem and defeated the purpose of stirring it for the hour? I'm going to filter it tomorrow afternoon, just thought I would check if leaving the Polyclar to rest would affect it's results.

Thanks!

Will be fine,

On a homebrew scale there's no real need for long term rehydration (though it does increase effectiveness for the amount used), I just add a tablespoon full to half a cup of freshly boiled water, stir & tip in the beer.

Cheers ross
