Hey Guys,

Had myself a 3 ravens golden ale the other night and it was pretty nice, the only offputting thing is that it had a plasticy taste to it. I've had this in some of my brews (only ever kit and kilo ones back in the day), I always thought it was the PET bottles until I was told otherwise. Just wondering if anyone knows the cause of it ?

Cheers

Aaron

I have had plastic taste from underpitching yeast, and I understand it to be a wild yeast. Cost me 2 cubes of beers!

That would be my guess, but it could be another reason.

Agree. Some wild yeasts will throw a chemical/plastic taste in my experience with the curse.
