G'day all, I have made my first pilsner/lager over the weekend and have pitched a 2L starter of yeast straight off the stir plate last night. I pitched the starter into the wort which was already sitting on 10-12 degrees. Is this the right procedure or is it best to pitch at a higher temperature and slowly bring the temperature down knowing that some slight off flavours may be produced at the higher temperatures. I havn't even given this batch 24hrs to see if it is going to start cranking up but thought I'd put the question out anyway.
Cheers
