Here's an AG one I found. It wouldn't be hard ot just replace the base malt with light extract.
Just use your chosen internet search engine for 'piraate clone recipe' and you'll find some info to sift through...

Aromatic can be substitued with Melanoiden. Cara-Vienna is a crystal malt, fairly light, but I don't know of a best fit substitute...

17 Lb's Belgian Pilsner malt, 1/2 lb. crystal 20 L., 4 oz. Cara-Vienna, 4 oz. Aromatic. 1 Lb. Belgian light candi sugar, 1 oz. Brewers Gold @ 5 AAU (60 min), 1 oz. Styrian Golding with 1/2 tsp.Crushed Coriander(15 min.) 1/2 oz. Styrian Golding with 1/2 tsp.Crushed Coriander @ 1 tsp Sweet orange peel (10 min), White Labs WLP500 Trappist Yeast

Van Steenberg is my favourite brewer, you should also try the Beir du Boucanier Blonde and dark beers,

I am trying to culture some of thier yeast at the moment, to make a clone of the boucanier, which I had after a piraat a few nights ago, and they tasted exactly the same.

Mmmm... Pirat... definately one of my top ten.
But it might have to wrestle Kwak and Chimay out of the way first.
I will save this recipe for myself for August brewing.
Any other recipe ideas for this wonderful brew?

Anyone tried to do a piraat recipe?

It's my holy grail of brewing. I did a side by side tasting with my duvel clone and the duvel, and they were very close. My wife preferred mine on the blind tasting. So time to raise the stakes and give the piraat a shot.
