I got a sample rather than a pint too.
Had a chat to the manager and the reason it isn't on sale is they don't have the nitrogen levels right, for how they want to dispense it. They are wanting to dispense it with a nitrogen mix ala Kilkenny and Guinness.
The brewer was coming in this arvo to fix and they are hoping to have it on tap tonight.

My thoughts on the beer were, nice dark creamy head. Full roasty flavoured beer. Couldn't detect anything attributable to oysters in the sample, and if I didn't know the background for the beer I wouldn't have even known.

Will try and get back this week for a full pint and post a better review :p

According to todays SMH Good Living section the Oyster Stout is finally on tap proper.
Willie has a followup article which is basically a name dropping piece about most of the brewers in Sydney having a session drinking his beer (of course I'm jealous :p )
Gerard gets quoted too.
