Todays SMH Good Living section has an article by Willie Simpson on CUB's new Pure Blonde beer.

I think his summation of it won't see me rushing out to try it.

Pale gold; clean, faintly malty aroma; moderate body, hint of delicate fruitiness, soft bitterness; clean, watery finish, lacks distinguishing character (despite being "double hopped"). Ho-hum.

Beers,

Sounds not dissimilar to James Boags new St. George. Aimed at the younger, clubbing type drinkers that typically drink Corona, heinekin and Stella. Light in bitterness, with a lemony citrusy finish to it. I'm yet to try one, but I'm not expecting great things. Oh, and there is 4 to a 6 pack for $10, instead of your normal 6 for $10 ;).
