Opening Then Closing A Cube

Whats the difference between that and transferring to secondary fermenters either from a cube before fermentation or at secondary?
 
I think he means can he open a unfermented cube up pour some off and then reseal the cube to ferment later on.

If you transfer it from the cube to fermenter you are adding yeast straight away so hope the yeast kicks off befor the bugs.

If you transfer from fermenter to secondary (I think its a bigger risk then good) you have C02 in the fermenter and it should ferment a little more and make more CO2 in the secondary. Also fermented wort is less likely to get infected then unfermented but there is still a risk not as big.
