Hi everybody,

Earlier this year beer and brewer magazine sent out an email informing that the cbia were putting the producers licence up for review to contain a drink on premises section similar to winemakers.
Does anybody know how this is progressing, or when it is going to government?

Also has there been any luck with the restrictions on the vessel size regarding excise yet?

Cheers

I'll check with Chris McNamara, no news yet. Typically the outcome of the review comes out about June, for consideration over the following 6 months.

The vessel size is Federal Government, not State, so not connected. The Dept of Finance is the body to make any changes there, and as of yet the interest from Finance towards brewers does not match our own interest in their policies! Anyways, the CBIA does have vessel size on the agenda and will keep chipping away. It will happen one day, just gotta keep pushing.

Thanks Scotty, I will be keen to hear any information that you can find out.
Fingers crossed
