OK guys
my converted chest freezer, Fisher & Paykel 280Lt, with Tobins TS-040S runs between 0.5*C and 2.5*C.
Have fitted a Sunsun / Sensen HQB-2500 Submersible Pond Pump http://www.rockaroundtheblock.com.au/produ...cID=10&c=162915
into a container of straight water (noisy little sucker it is too), and it seems to be doing the job OK.
NOW the main question, will adding Glycol to the water help or not, considering that the water does not freeze.
Hope this makes some kind of sense to somebody

In a word NO - only helps if there is a danger of the water freezing.
I'm running my glycol unit at 1c with just plain water - as I prefer the sweated look to the ice look...
