Saw on another forum where a brewer wanted to add a particular flavor to his beer post fermentation by means other than traditional dry hopping. In this instance his flavor profile was to include Orange and Vanilla.
He had tried adding orange peel and vanilla beans to the brew in a traditional way but wasn't happy with the out come and by chance he came across this article http://www.cookingissues.com/index.html%3Fp=4463.html
His comment was that it works an absolute treat and is dead simple in operation.
A search of the web brings up food and drink flavors that boggle the mind, such as Bacon flavored whisky, basil infused water mellon and cucumber salad just to mention a few such as detailed here https://breakingtheculinarymold.wordpress.com/tag/nitrogen-cavitation/
I thought the process was interesting and if you already have a "cream whipper" then you are well on the way
Cheers
