Hi all, new to the forum but not to brewing. I've been brewing on and off for the last 30 years, mainly country wines. I inherited a recipe book from my gran, it dates back to the 60's and has been my bible.

Welcome, perhaps you'll share some secrets one day :D

It was first printed in 1955, the copy I have is a reprint from 1968

There are quite a few obscure ones as they are quite old, so if anyone is looking for anything specific. Please ask and I'll have a look to see if there is anything close. They are mainly fruit wines, I'm from Yorkshire originally by the way.

Welcome mate! That book looks great. Care to share your favourite?

Nothing English hedgerow sourced - might be a bit tricky to replicate here ;-)

I made the top recipe a few years ago, it was quite a sweet syrupy wine with a bite as it went down.
