Been waiting and waiting for my new Beerbelly Mashtun to arrive - it did this morning. What a damn sexy bit of kit it is. I may have ruined myself for home made gear for the foreseeable future.

Wayne's work is just beautiful. This thing is everything I could have asked for and a bit more.

50L, special request custom full width flat false bottom - came with an upgrade to a 3 piece ball valve and with a free AG brew's worth of ingredients inside (because I had to wait a little while for the job)

Top quality bit of bling and I can hardly wait to break it in.

Wayne has himself another committed fan in me. Great quality gear and top notch customer service.

I just sprouted a male barb fitting

I love those little dishes that the Wort trickles into.... :beerbang: And Stainless looks the goods to also, im thinking of just saving and taking a little longer and having all Stainless when I set up my Herms, would be much better in the long run I reckon....

Quality stuff!

I am hanging for my brew kettle and mash tun from beerbelly, go to bed thinking of them every night

Hi Thirsty Boy,

I'm interested in a new mash tun my self.

How much grain do you think you'll be able to mash in your new tun?

What is the water to grain ratio that you typically use?

Cheers,

Wally

At 2.5L per kilo, you would have to be able to mash 13-14kg in that sucker, very impressive TB, great work there BB.

cheers

In the first pic it looks quite nice. The bottom two photos gave me a chubby. :icon_drool2:

It was funny when Wayne mentioned he was working on a mash tun for you as I couldn't help having a little bit of a giggle at how you have a foot in each camp, the BIAB and the Bling. B)

They are amazing Mash Tuns, possibly the best there is really, enjoy.

Jesus TB! This is a beautiful piece of kit. Hands down the cleanest home-tun I've ever seen. Almost looks like a Blichmann bottom. Really slick all around. Enjoy breaking that ******* in :) .

... which translates to something like an IPA bill with 50L of wort produced, give or take. I find my 50L keg struggles a bit (it's absolutely maxed) with a large bill (IPA)+ Herms where I require a slightly higher g/w ratio for a floating mash effect.

Thanks for sharing, TB!

oh my days.....

thats is just qaulity.

big the **** up beer belly. seriously doms work is next level.

Glad you like it Thirsty, I spent a little bit of extra time on it getting it just right, bloody glad to know it has arrived too - I tend to lose a little bit of sleep while these are in transit (which translates into quite a bit of lost sleep these days).
I used to have one of these 50L tuns, and have managed to fit 16kg of grist into it for a 75 litre brew, but that was very thick and was trying to exit the return dish port the whole time because it was a little too high. Was a great beer though :D...... Can you imagine the 200L tun I'm about to make for someone?

Thanks for the compliments everyone, they've made my day start with a smile :)

Enjoy!

:icon_drool2: :icon_drool2: , Wooaahhh, are you sure you want to get it dirty TB??

Ohhhhh... That's just special...

Wish I could spring for one myself... will have to start saving up :)

Well done!

Andy
