To tell you the truth, I have NFI... I just always assumed there was and one was for hot and one was for cold. It would make sense that there is some difference or why would they make the two different models?

I don't know why unless they are controlling directly from the unit but I use lots of controllers of all sorts at work and in the brewshed and its just a matter of how you use the output from any controller (unless you want to go below zero degrees). I am wiring up a recently aquired fridge with a solid state relay across the thermostat contacts so It will indicate and control from outside the fridge . more or less replaced the fridge thermostat with a ssr and temp controller . Maybe over the top but it works and looks neat .

Yup it was the one up from the fridge mate. i wasnt sure why there is a price difference. only thing i knew it looked a bit better and a different probe. it was just the only one he had in stock and i took it would be better quality.
