I need to put down a quick brew so I can get some bottles full and drinking asap...have plenty of other brews in various stages of planning/conditioning etc, including the move to BIAB. However need some drinking material!

I have heard the Coopers Aus Pale Ale kit can be done up to make a nice drop.

I want to do the Coopers APA kit, a kilo or so of either DME or LME plus some dex...dont mind adding some spec grain and late addition hops/dry hopping.

Any one got a good recipe they would care to share? Single Hop plus grain?

I like a pretty hoppy beer, would sinking a 100g pack of pellets into a pre bittered brew be too much (incl. Dry Hopping)?

Thanks a bunch!

CPA kit, 300g pale crystal, 800g dme, 200g dex, US-05 and a bunch of Amarillo. Not sure I'd go 100g but half that will make if a pretty hoppy brew if dry hopped, ferment lowish like about 17c if you can. I also like yeast 1272 for apa's

CPA kit, 200g each of carapils,Caramalt(BB) and carabelge,10g citra @40mins,15g @10 and 2mins its like drinking liquid guava/passionfruit

Mmmm, might give this a crack, minus the carapils

citra is my new flavour of the month and love the head that the carapils gives whist keeping the EBC down(can't help myself putting 150g -250g in every 20l brew

Cheers for the replies team...

havent used citra, but taste profile sounds right up my alley. Anyone know where i can get citra from in NZ by chance? Or an appropriate substitute? Havent seen it at LHBS or online from NZ supplier. Im a big fan of Amarillo atm...so leaning this way but wouldnt mind giving citra a go!

just get it from craftbrewer will be worth the money spent on postage from aus to n.z

I have this in the fermenter now for 8 days. Going to keg in a day or 2 once I reach my desired OG. Here's the recipe

1 x APA
1kg DME
1kg BE2
20g Nelson Sauvin dryhopped
Nottingham

Smells great =)
