More tread plate to weld in where burner goes as well as bottom shelf...then wire up and paint

Now what colour paint? <_<

OH OH OH looks sexy bloke keep up the good work. MMMMMM BEER
Greg

Man, I'd be stoked with a rig even half as 'purdy as that :)

Nice work!

Cheers

*mental note* build brew stand ASAP or get beaten by these up-starts :p

Colour galv. Clinical always looks professional and tidy. :D

ya think red?

I'll post more pic's when she's finished :D

Red is pink just brighter

Update on rig
Going to mount Italian Spiral burner under tread plate in the cut out circle, about 5min from the top lip. I tend to think that the stand that comes with the burner is at the wrong hight for the keg I'm using for my kettle. Having the burner at this hight, I'm hoping that the flame will be just right..

any thoughts?

just need to fit the march pump...not to sure where or vertical or horizontal?

Looking good Jeddog! Green with Jealousy.

I have got to get my finger out and start my brew rig.

Noice work with the tread plate. Is it SS?

Hey dude, just curious if your kettle is going to be sitting straight on top of that mesh? I have a spiral burner with an adjustable reg but I don't use it much. If you are planning to just drop your kettle on that tread mesh, from my experience I'm wondering if you will have enough distance between the burner and the base of the kettle, and enough air flow?

Maybe others who use this style of burner on a regular basis can comment better, but it just looks a little close to me if that's your plan

Btw... The red Boily gloves are the best.. ;)

oh and, mate, thats one freakin' solid rig! You could chock the arse ende of a CAT 797 with that bastard... Great job, keep the updates coming..

+1, it certainly isn't light duty steel in that puppy...

A think a test run over Easter maybe required jeddog?!

Thanks...pretty happy

Hay chappo
it's not S/S but very heavy gauge tread..she not going to be light..

and Schooey
i found the stand that the burner came with sat the burner to low for my kegs (the blue burnie bits to the flame where about 30-40mm from the bottom of the keg). This rig can be adjusted if needed...

any help with the pump?

I mounted mine like this

Why?

I wanted it to be in the centre of the plumbing, up as high as I could manage to avoid having long pipes. the longer the pipe the more that's left in them when you are finished and the more heat loss you get. The higher it was, the more NPSHA I had, the less work the pump has to do and the more efficient it becomes. It also made it easier to mount the bracket for the pump to the frame in my situation, so yeah, it just kinda all fell together in that place.

Hope this helps
