No worries. I think my idea has a basic geometry problem when it comes to hop pellets.

So I reckon my main issue is hops expanding so tried a little test
Few hops pellets in a similar shaped tube with some beer.

30 Min later expanded pretty solid.

Long skinny tube not ideal. This only gets worse as well with a solid block after about 24hrs.
