Monty moved into the shed around 3 weeks ago and has been watching over proceedings ever since. I have had several pythons live in the shed over the years but Monty is the largest and by far the most interesting. He is quite happy to slither about while I work there, more than once he has slithered over my feet. I'm of course more than happy for him to live here and eat the rodents, I just wish he would stop knocking stuff over.

Nice. I had a small (2 foot) brown snake in my shed 2 summers ago slither past me wilst I was pouring a beer. A bit of a frothy beer as a result but I didn't move otherwise. I don't think he's still in there.

Had a bit larger Brown in my brewing area last year. And he was angry. Never seen anything like it. Maybe not angry, but scared. Tying himself in knots, straightening out again, hissing and carrying on like a little *****. Myself, frozen, heart pumping, cold shivers and carrying on like a little *****. There was only one exit, we were both half way and both of us knew it.

Edit: It'd be cool to have a snake like your visitor Batz.

Hope you have a nice warm spot for him.

Just remember, don't feed him by hand
He sleeps behind the fridges, nice and warm, and where the mice once played.

He's just a little possum, well he likes little possums anyway. ;)

Now just teach him how to use the STC and you have automated fermentation

I'd much rather a monty in my shed. Too bad it gets cold here in winter.

Terrific stuff Batz, well done! :icon_cheers:

It's great too see so many people on this forum like wildlife that tv and films have demonised unfairly.

When we lived in Victoria Point Qld 10 years ago we had beautiful carpet snake like Monty move into an outside storage shed. As much as I wanted to leave him there the future for him wasn't very good if he ever moved around the neighbors yard and they saw him, certain death awaited him. I put him in a nice bag and released him 15klm away on a council water storage facility surrounded by a lovely secluded bush setting, In the last photo you can see how well he blends in with his new home, I hope he was happy and is still alive.

I've caught and released lots of snakes over the years and never had any of them do anything but try to get away. It really pisses me off when you see local wildlife that have been deliberately run over well off the normal driving line at the side of the road. Last year my brother saw a small truck hit a roo on the quiet road leading to his house, the thing was writhing in agony with its leg shattered and bone sticking through the mangled leg, and the ******* just drove off and left it. My brother quickly found a solid fence post and dispatched it as quick as he could. Accidents happen but I can't stand pricks who are too cowardly to finish what they started however unpleasant it might be.

Deserved what the kangaroo got.
But without the euthanasia.

Totally agree

Nice, what is she about 2.5-3 meters, I don't think there would be any safe possums either.

Look at pics 1 and 2... He's trying to tell you that your temps are too high. He likes his lagers crisp and clean..

Makes my brew dogs look pretty lame.
