Interesting to see the New World Hops being increasingly used. Is this a fashion / taste thing or is the poor old UK hop industry dying out due to Eurosubsidies etc etc?

Both Mylam and High House Farm, micro breweries near Newcastle upon Tyne were
giving the US hops a bit of a work out when I was there last Christmas. Maybe a micro thing
rather than the larger breweries with established brands

Oh its definitely a Micro-Thing, thats why UK breweries have got to get their skates on when the Hop-Boats come in from abroad... make sure they get their orders in quick of all the pungent hoppy goodness.

Both American & New Zealand varieties sold out really fast at Charles Farams here in the UK... No Amarillo or Cascade even! Thankfully the boat just came in!
