I am officially back into the brewing.
Since I last wrote I have made and bottled 2xstouts, 1 wheat beer, 1 irish red, 1 ginger beer. All partial mash. My plan was to go all grain within 12 months (that was 2 months ago). Going to be a lot sooner than that, next month I am getting an urn and will have a crack at the BIAB technique.
The difference in taste and tecture of the beers between kits with malt and partial mash is fantastic and I am loving my beers. Even the wife is drinking the wheat beer. Lucky for me she prefers wine so my stocks are safe.
When I was brewing kits I would try different things every single time to try and improve. Now on the partial mash I am only making very slight changes as I am happy with the product. I have not even been to the bottle shop this year! :kooi:
Tonight I am brewing another wheat beer.
Next up is a chocolate stout...
after that...
