Hello all,
I was at the Lord Nelson yesterday and had a couple of pints of their new seasonal ale, Royal Red. It's replacing their Victory Bitter for a short time.
The signage says that the 'Red' is bittered using Target and Saaz hops, as well as a third that escapes my memory. It was a cloudy deep amber colour and had a nice spicy finish.
Also, the blood is back! Nelson's Blood is back on tap and tasting as delicious as ever. A fantastic porter with a nice roast coffee flavour.
Hope you have enjoyed my amateurish tasting notes.
