I finally got around to putting my Keg setup together over the weekend, But i have a problem, My manifold leaks, I have tightened it as much as i can and i still have CO2 escaping from from around the Thread area of the Ball Valves.

So I have forgotten to do something, but no idea what, as this is my first keg setup, and no one i know has a setup, i can't check with anyone,

So please, feel free to tell what stupid mistake i have made.

Cheers

Thread tape?

G'day DT,
Liquid thread sealant is better still. Loctite 567 is much easier to handle than Gas Tape particularly on 1/4" fittings. The other thing I found when I built my manifold was the ball valves were not rated to sub zero tempratures (they are mounted beside the cold plate on my setup). Some of the ballvalves internal housing's developed hairline cracks causing leaks  . My supplier upgraded the valves for me at no cost :super: (Couplers in O'Connor Perth) and everything's nice and sealed now.
Cheers
Doug
