This one has probably been thrashed out numerous times, but Is it possible? Does anyone do it?

I have a fridge that will only hold so much in terms of bulk volume containers. I can fit a 23 litre and a couple of 5 litres in at the most, but maybe primed smaller bottles can fit in the nooks and crannies.

And If the answer is "yes, it can be done", then does one wait until the beer has carbonated before lagering?

Cheers,
D

Yes it can be done and yes wait till it's carbonated. However keep in mind that all the crap you are trying to drop out of solution will remain in the bottle whereas when bulk lagering you can leave it behind

When I was bottling, some of my best lagers had sat bottled, in the fridge for up to 6 months.
