I had an issue with a keg, kept coming out slow and foamy, was a real pain in the bum. I thought it was because I force carbed it. I buprped it heaps and still had the same problem. Turns out I did a bad transfer and had some hop matter in the keg, which got caught in the poppet springs and caused it to foam up every time.

Also, how are you calculating your line length? I have a keezer with about 0.5m height difference between the centre of the keg and the tap, and 10-12psi tells me I need a 5 to 6m hose. This calculator is great because it actually works it out from first principles fluid mechanics, not rules of thumb like some others use. I spent a day converting it to metric, can post the spreadsheet later on if people are interested.

I used the spreadsheet from this forum:

Seemed to have a reasonable amount of variables and agreed mostly with other calculators I found online. I also used a force carb table, a little bit of fudging, stuck my thumb in the air, then added a metre on for good luck. I'll cut this metre down over time.
