Just a quickie no panic or anything:
I don't have my kegerator yet but have 4 kegs and brewing in advance. Don't have gas, regs etc yet. I have a keg of Aus sparkling (2 weeks) and TTL (10 days). Put 90g sugar in each to prime. When I pull the Burper ring of the Aus sparkling I get a satisfying little hiss. With the TTL nothing. The lid is sitting nice and square with the same width of rubber showing all round however just to be sure I decided to loosen the lid and jiggle it around and reseat it in case that was leaking gas.
On releasing the hinged sliding metal lever device (whatever it's called) I found that the lid was tight as the fish's proverbial and obviously not going anywhere, so clearly good pressure in the keg. I'll just leave it and have a good look later when the keg has been drunk.
NO need to burp AFAIK because I didn't put much primings in however does this mean that the entire burp valve needs to be replaced? What's actually in there that can fail? I was going to dismantle one from the two currently empty kegs for a look-see but didn't want to destroy anything.
