K-97 gone mad`

Hey Guys,
I have done a hefewizen and a roggenbier both with K-97 yeast.
This stuff has gone lunatic and kept gushing out of both fermenters for 3 days.Made big mess in my ferment frige.
Stuff everywhere.
Question is,"Is this good yeast to save for later brews"?
I usually keep a pickle bottle or two of the used yeast cake in the frige for later and it works ok.Maybe I could save some of this mess with a blow over tube.
Normally I keep it out of the frige till it,s finished the first mad rush but this wouldn,t stop.

Keeping the nice thick creamy tan coloured yeast off the top Is a great idea. It is quite healthy and if you re pitch within a week, it will perform very well.


Search "top cropping" and have a read.
