Hi guys,

I know the norm is to filter out Isinglass finings, but is it okay to just rack beer of the lees and leave the sediment behind? How well would this work?

Cheers :icon_cheers:

Rack is fine as you dont need to filter isinglass, you may be thinking of polyclar?

Cool, thanks Jye.

Actually, according the Craftbrewer's site, you don't need to filter polyclar either - can just rack off the lees after 2-3 days settlement, apparently.

Cheers B)

There's more than one incarnation of polyclar....this is true for the VT, which is what Craftbrewer sells. It's coarser, so can just be racked off.

Julez.
