Hi,

I am all new to this and have had my first brew brewing for the last 9 days. It is a lager brew that was sitting at around 25c for the first 24 hours and flocculating quickly and was then left at a constant 13-15 degrees for the remainder period.
Tastes great, probably co it's my first. The starting gravity was 1043 and it has been at 1020 for the last 3 days. My question to all the experienced brewers is, is it ready?. I only had a can of WALS in it, and 1KG or Dex. I would have thought that from all the reading it would come down to about 1005 before it stabilized.
I have also put in the finnings as I had a 1020 for two days straight, but it is still murky.

BTW, it is still giving of Co2 but very slowly over the last three days.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Matt

Hey Brew King,

If you think it's done, wait until the weekend and then square it away. That's what weekends are for - brewing units! I don't even have a hydrometer.

Mind you, it won't matter if you have kegs, they won't explode. :D

InCider.
