Intertap G1 v G2

Can anyone tell me how long the Intertaps Generation 2 have been out? I have just purchased 4 intertaps a month ago and just found out I have been supplied the old model. Not happy. Only found out as I have bought the accessory connectors which dont fit the old taps.

Not sure how long they changed the design, but since KL have been around they've only sold the gen2. There also are counterfeit intertaps.
