Howdy All,

I have just kegged up my first brew with home grown Cascade hops.

Tasting it into the keg it is very low on hop fbitterness, flavour and aroma.

What would be the best way to bring some flavour and aroma back to this beer ?

- Dry hop in a bag directly into the keg ?
- Boil up a small hop tea with 60, 20 and 0 minute additions, cool and add to the keg ?

And will it make a difference if the beer is cold when hops added ?

Cheers,
As always, advice here is appreciated...

I would say go the hop tea route. Dryhopping is 95% aroma and very little flavour.

I don't think putting hot hop tea into the cold beer will make much affect the two masses are so different the temperature rise would be minimal. Need to give the keg a bit of a swirl to get it all mixed in.

You could do both if you have enough hops best of both worlds then.

Hop tea can add a noticeable bitterness when made on boiling water. I'd perhaps just do a hop tea by boiling flowers for 20 mins and use a coffee press to remove the flowers and add the tea to the keg, then another one made just like a pot of tea, for aroma.
