Hi all great bear minds,
I have a question in regards to placing hops in the fermenter for flavour and re using the yeast.
I recently brewed a dr smurtos landlord ale which tasted fantastic i followed the recipe all the way placing the final hops into the fermentor. The problem was when i made another batch i used the yeast from the last brew with the hops still in, added more hops and after a few weeks tasted but it was completely different, nice but very different. The question is if i am to reuse the yeast for another batch( i,ve been told you can use the same yeast for up to three brews) should i be using a hop sock so i can remove the old hops or will a hop sock not allow for the full flavour of the hops. Is it recommended to reuse yeast that has hops in and if so do you have any tips thanks for any help in advance,
