MrsGrumpy found this at Target for me.

Every month had a different beer recipe. Most are AG, a couple are extract.

I wonder if any of the contributing brewers are on here?

Missus got me this for Christmas.

Even let me put it up in the kitchen.

Was thinking about putting each recipe up once a month for anyone that's interested.

SIL got me this for Xmas. Plan to have each brew ready to drink in it's respective month and cook up the associated food recipe to go with it. I've got the Jan brew, Half A Pear Australian Pale Ale nearly done fermenting.

I know fergthebrewer from AHB and Westgate Brewers contributed one of the recipes, as did another Westgate member.

I got one from the wife on the weekend, I was pretty impressed with the detail of the recipes. :)

Thew a few details into beer smith for the January recipe -

Half Pear Australian Pal Ale.

Was going to do a picture but could impose a copyright issue, as could this I suppose.

You'll have to adjust to your equipment profile, ingredients, ferment ect to get the advertised details listed below. Also check I didn't do something stupid.

Also made an educated "Google" guess at what the Australian Medium malt is intend to be (grain #3). Think its intended to be Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (78.8 EBC) bit of a colour addition open to suggestions.

3.65 kg Pale Malt, Ale (Barrett Burston) (5.9 EBC) Grain 1 86.3 %
0.20 kg Wheat Malt (Barrett Burston) (3.0 EBC) Grain 2 4.7 %
0.08 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (78.8 EBC) Grain 3 1.9 %
0.30 kg Corn Sugar (Dextrose) (0.0 EBC) Sugar 4 7.1 %
24.00 g Pride of Ringwood [10.50 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 28.5 IBUs
1.0 pkg Nottingham (Danstar #-) [23.66 ml] Yeast 6 -

My wife also got one for me, may be i should get into AG brewing.

January beer was mine. Got changed a bit by the publishers for consistency and simplicity. My original used the White labs Australian ale yeast.... It's only available a few months of the year.

They're apparently working on an international one this year.

Target $10..like the other ones with labels/hotels...Nice to see the ozzie beer scene being recognised

I got given one for Christmas. The only bit that irks me is that some of the recipes are clearly paired with their drinking month, i.e. Sleigh Fuel for December, and Oztobefest for October. But plenty need ageing, and so trying to figure out brew and ageing times is annoying ;)

Plus a saison matched with Pad Thai? Needs more spring risotto.

Looking forward to brewing a bunch of the calendar.
