Herms For Sale.
$1000.00
Location- Ashgrove, BRISBANE

For sale is my Herms build. I built a Brau Clone when I made this as well and two small rug rats and a third on the way isnt allowing the time of old to tinker, so I’m scaling back to just brewing on the Brau.

I’m looking to sell everything as one lot, but will look at splitting if it doesn’t move. I think $1000 is fair for the gear here, but haven’t been looking at brew gear for a while, so I might be a bit off, apologies if so.

Long story short l built the Herms as per the completed pic with 2 electric elements and a gas boiler and made several brews on the system until I got bit by the brew bug bad and decided to go fully electric as per - http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/

To this end I partially disassembled the herms a couple years ago as per the remaining pics with the intent of converting to fully electric and replacing all brass, however now I have a greater hobby of my children so don’t have the time to tinker and complete the conversion. All gear has been boxed and covered.

This Herms would suit someone who wants a near complete system that could be returned to its original state with a few hours work and plumbers tape or someone looking for more of a challenge who doesn’t want to spend days chasing parts etc to convert it to fully electric, most of the major parts are there and good to go, more the wiring up side that needs completing.

The frame is custom made and mounted on heavy duty castors for ease of movement and is 145cm long and 65cm high.

All kegs are fitted with Mash Master temp gauges to aid in accurate temp control, along side the PID electronic temp sensors and have glass lids.

All Keg fittings are welded.

The Water and mash tun are heavily insulated and the boiler polished.
The mash tun has a stainless false bottom and new unused Blichmann sparge arm.

There is a new stainless Herms Heat exchanger / element for the heart of the system to replace the drum and stick heater of my first version.

In my planned refurbishment I decided to start over and replace all brass parts and connectors with stainless fittings / pipe and cam locks. As per the pics below there are new stainless fittings / taps and cam locks to replace all brass on the system.(Cam Locks, new from cheeky peek)

I purchased a large amount of electrical gear, (Auberins ((Ramp / Soak controller for the Heat Exchanger) and Sestos PIDS for the water heater and Boiler)temp sensors, SSR and heat sinks.
There is a huge quality Forte Electrical Box (50cm x 50cm x 30cm), to fit all the PIDS, switches, lights and alarms into, you won’t be trying to squeeze gear in there.

There are (2)wired March pumps to drive the system and metres of heavy duty silicon tubing (4mm thick walls), not the cheap thin stuff.

Included is the Rambo burner (with new regulator) and aluminium mounting plate from under the original boiler.

Please PM with any questions.

Cheers

Mick
