Hi all,
Not sure if there's much interest for this - Thinking of selling some gear from my old HERMs system that's been in storage for too long... The build was based on 'The Electric Brewery' and would be a great starting point for someone looking to build their own system. Grab some pumps, tubing and a kettle and you're away
HLT - something like 80L capacity with 15m 1/2" 304 S/S heat exchange coil. 2200W heating element. RTD temperature probe with 4-pin XLR connector. All quick-release fittings.
Mash Tun - same volume as HLT, S/S perforated false bottom. Sight gauge. RTD temperature probe with 4-pin XLR connector. Quick-release fittings.
Control Panel - Built this back when I was a first-year engineering student. It works, however the wiring is an absolute atrocity. I'll be pulling the internal wiring for safety reasons, so will need re-wiring (highly reccomend this is done by a competent electirician and not a university student).
Uses Auber PID loop controllers & timer, solid-state relays for HLT and Boiler temperature control. Mechanical relays rated to 80A. North-American style NEMA connectors. I have a standard australian 10A lead that plugs into the control panel somewhere...
Happy to sell individually or together, make me an offer. DM me for more details.
