Me too.
Have you brewed a english ale before jsaw? hens tooth is as expected, ale malt, crystal malt, challenger and goldings hops, just like many english ales.
best kit would be the muntons gold range if your willing to spend 50 bucks
Hey dont flame him for that, I used to be like that too. It comes with the ability of being able to make alcohol and thinking, "I wonder what I can get away with?"
Itll pass, it did for me, all my K&K lagers used to be 6-7% crazy! But then I tasted an ordinary bitter, and realised that I really really LOVE drinking beer, and if I can consume more of it then that makes me happy, rather thank drinking less higher alcohol brews...
Plenty of good advice in here, always is, I do realise its not possible to clone the exact beer your after, but if you can get close to it, your laughing.
I must admit, i have only done 15 brews so far in the last 2 1/2 months, and naturally still reaching out and trying new hops and malts etc.
Grains wont be far away!
Yeah I agree with you.... but then Chappo is still in that same cycle of just becoming a AG'er and slacking of the K&Kr....
Katie hides behind her keyboard!
:icon_offtopic: Funny how you have a little stash of negelected k&K whoopsie sitting in the corner all by themselves like little leppers. Every so often you crack one and you go eeepp! :icon_vomit: Wrong one! That's that bloody so and so that nearly killed me last time!
(whisper_icon) but you never give 'em to the sewer god just in case they might come good...
:icon_offtopic: ...we were searching for all grain like dogs do bones...
Hey chappo, Im based in Warwick at the moment, but the mrs owns a unit in Yeronga, which wouldnt be too far from you.
One of these days when im in Bris next, i wouldnt mind teeing up a time to chew your ears (over a few brews of course!)
So as to gain some more knowledge. Plus then i can bring some of my own creations for you to sample etc, and give me feedback.
As i have stated, most of them are strong beers, so i can bring the spit bucket if need be! lol.
try getting in on a brew day....
