I'm just about to try to make my first Pale Ale. I have:

1 can x Rapid Creek Pale Ale
1kg x Light Liquid Malt
12g x Cascade Hops
11.5g x Safale US-56 yeast

I have never made a pale ale before and if anyone out there has some tips on how to improve the recepie please let me know.

Also i have never bought a specific yeast before is the Safale US-56 good?

Cheers

US 56 is a top yeast - just watch the temp.

I normally use it at 18 - 20 max!!!!

Excellent attenuation and super clean - pretty hard to beat for a dry yeast

Like craig said, look into temp control. A for clean beer like a PA you have chosen a good yeast but keep it below 20C.

This may just mean a fridge on a timer or a tub or water, a wet towel over the fermenter to wick up the water and throw some ice blocks in the water.

Nothing wrong with what you have there for a brew bear. With good sanitation, the right temp control as stated and a bit of patience you will have a nice beer :)

If you like the rapid creek range that is, i don't
