Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has an awesome choc outmeal stout recipe they could share?

I was thinking of brewing the 'Oat Monster Milk Chocolate Stout' that i found on brewsmith.
But i'm not sure if it will taste ok.

Lookign for some feedback on this recipe, or any advice of proven choc oatmeal stouts.

Cheers

What is the batch size? 40 litres ?
Yeah about that, enough to do 2 kegs hopefully.
one for me and one for a mate.

The general consensus is to keep the lactose between 5 & 10% of the fermentables.
So it depends a bit on your efficiencies, but 1.36kg puts it approximately within this range right?
You have about 15-16kg of grains.

Edit: There's probably some great maths here you can do with the expected return for N% efficient mashing, etc.

Maybe try it with a smaller batch if you're not sure.

There's a chocolate stout recipe in the database that I currently have on tap which is delicious. Might be a good reference point.

Imo the malt bi is a bit busy. Maybe too much lactose too.
