Gold Coast holiday, family things to do and breweries?

Howdy
Last year some time we got a deal for 5 nights at sea world resort for pretty cheap with a couple of parks included.
Not really my cup of tea at all but it was cheap and my 5yr old will enjoy the time before the next one arrives end of May so I took one for the team.
So outside of the theme parks what's good to do around there and can you recommend some good breweries as well.

Go to the beach? Burleigh Brewing is opening a new brewery in March.
