Well, I could not help myself. I am a total stirrer. As part of that, I have my 8 year old TOTALLY hooked on the Santa story.
So I get home last week and read her "list". She has asked for "Saddle Club Bedshits"! Meaning bedsheets on interogation.
How can I let that go?
So I printed up a letter from Santa on a piece of red card and sent it to her, along the lines of :
Dear Marie, sorry but I cannot give you bedshits, to get this you would have to eat something that makes you sick. Please re-do your list and send it to me at blah blah
Well, I have just got a call from her and she is elated, angry, frustrated and embarresed that Santa busted her on her spelling. Not only that she is freaked out about how he "broke" into our house.
I was in tears laughing.
When she gets older and finds out, I am dead.
